Topic
We are conducting research with high school students around the country who have recently transitioned to online learning as a result of COVID-19. This is a great opportunity to understand how kids react and adapt to this sudden shift in real time.
Why are we doing this?
We conduct research for major companies on a variety of topics and have done a lot of work with high school kids and Gen Zers. We want to showcase our findings to thought leaders at companies that are interested in online education and demonstrate our research capabilities by packaging our findings in a “white paper” style video for our clients.
What’s involved for the students?
rEQUIREMENTS
Utilizing a group messaging application, GroupMe, we will be asking students to give about 10 - 15 minutes of their week through the end of their current school term to answer a few questions about how their transition into online learning is going. Responses may require text or video responses. Some responses may involve follow up questions.
Students should respond at their earliest convenience, but we ask that they respond within 3 - 4 days of the question being posted. Answers will require more than a simple “yes or no” response. We want to know everything they like or dislike, and they should express that clearly and thoroughly in their answers.
cOMPENSATION
For their time, students will be compensated $75 by electronic payment, such as Venmo, PayPal, Amazon Gift Card or any other electronic method at the end of the study.
parent permission
Before students can participate, we must receive written permission from their parent or legal guardian, so we may use their footage for promotional purposes.
